Scarlet Floret

Do you like fairy-tales? I do!
Every night I read a fairy-tale to my daughter before she goes to bed. One of her favorite is a Russian tale by Sergey Aksakov "Scarlet  Floret". A scarlet floret - a gift which younger daughter Nastenka asked the father to bring from the distant countries. The father gets in a palace of the Monster where picks a flower, but he is threaten by mortal danger because of it. The daughter rescues the father, having removed a spell from the Monster.
I made my scarlet floret with shiny bright pink and red beads.

My New Tutorial and more

I was busy last couple days writing my new tutorial. This is 2 -in-1 instruction: how to make secure kidney ear wire and how to make wire capped bead and use it for making earrings, pendants, etc.

While I was working on this tutorial, I made a couple of jewelry sets that I really love! :)

This earth tone natural picture jasper beads make a good combination with crystal silver  rondelles. I could not stop and make just a pair of earrings - I made a matching pendant, so all feel happy together :).

Happy Woman's Day!

March 8  is one of my favorite holidays. It is officially known as a International Women's Day. It is loved by many and is widely celebrated in Eastern Europe.
Members of Russian Etsy Team had  a post cards exchange. And I was a part of this exchange. I got three cute cards, all from three different countries: USA, Germany, and Belgium.

Most of my followers and readers of this blog are women. So, my friends, I want to congratulate you on this beautiful Day!
This day only, on March 8th, I have a SALE at my AroundBeads shop. Use promo code MARCH8 to get 40% off on any item!

Lovely Brooches

Do you wear brooches? I am afraid that most of you would say "No".
You do not have to wear them only with "fancy" classic outfit at all. These lovely accessories can be good additions for your silk blouses, dresses, knitted sweaters, scarfs, and even coats!

My first brooch was made with "cherry quartz" and Czech beads..

Pancakes

Today is the last day of Maslenitsa (Ма́сленица) also known as Butter Week or Pancake week, a Russian religious and folk holiday. In Slavic mythology, Maslenitsa is a sun festival, celebrating the imminent end of the winter.
My mom was making pancakes for my father all week :)  I made thin pancakes only today, for breakfast.
